About Me
I grew up with music & games, but I have many more interests – D&D, karate, writing, photography, horses and dancing to name a few. I’ve always enjoyed telling a story and there are so many ways to do it, games are another great medium to create an experience. Everything I know helps me see things from different perspectives, which is why I never want to stop learning.
I pursued my interest in music up until high school, where I performed Live Video Game Music at the graduation concert. But I wanted more! In 2017 I started studying Game Design at Futuregames, but a year later I switched to Game Programming and finished my education in late 2020. I never let go of design however and I am now a Game Designer with the technical skills of a programmer, acting as the bridge between the two.
My reason for switching from Game Design to Programming was simply that I wanted to become more specialised, a very technical designer. It has given me full insight into both domains — enabling me to be the bridge between design and tech, acting like a communication catalyst. Already as a junior, I’m often the one in meetings giving grounded technical expectations to the designers or the one explaining the thought process and design decisions to the programmers. Needless to say, I enjoy doing this since I love working with people and I thrive in a collaborative environment.
