At my core, I’m a creative person. I create things, solve problems and use my creativity to do so. I grew up with music and games, but I have many more interests – D&D, karate, writing, art, photography and horses just to name a few. Everything I know helps me see things from different perspectives, and my natural curiosity drives me to keep learning new things. Games are yet another great medium to tell stories and create experiences, and I want to give others the same joy games have given me.

I pursued my interest in music up until high school, where I performed Live Video Game Music at the graduation concert. But I wanted more! In 2017 I started studying Game Design at Futuregames, but a year later I switched to Game Programming and finished my education in late 2020. My reason for switching was simply that I wanted to become more specialised by being a game designer with the technical skills of a programmer. 

Now, my skill set allows me to contribute throughout the entire process of building a system. From the initial game design, to the technical system architecture, to the system implementation and then the content implementation using that system. Having the full insight into both domains makes it easier to bridge the communication and propose solutions that meet the needs of both sides.

My design philosophy

I believe innovation requires constant iteration, which is why my approach isn’t just about building functionality. It’s about engineering systems that help innovate gameplay. The tools we use shape the way we think and inspire us to create, so having great tools is absolutely vital. My role has often been to provide this for my team, so they can focus on being creative. I love helping people, and that makes me thrive in a collaborative environment.
